The International Institute of Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai invites applications for a temporary position of Research Officer for their Institutional Review Board (IRB) & National Education Policy (NEP) Project.
If you have a Master's degree, proficiency in English, and knowledge of MS Office, this could be an excellent opportunity to contribute to impactful projects related to socioeconomic and health research.
The position is Mumbai-based, offers a salary up to ₹70,000 per month, and is initially for 6 months, with a possibility of extension. Desirable qualifications include strong communication skills, exposure to research ethics, and experience in socioeconomic or health-related research.

This prestigious temporary position is part of a collaborative project aimed at improving body composition and the quality of life of stomach cancer patients after gastrectomy in India. The project, titled "EASE IN," is a joint effort with Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), Mumbai, and the Institute of Applied Health Sciences (IAHS), University of Aberdeen, Scotland.

For candidates with a PhD, experience in systematic reviews, and proven leadership in writing research papers, this position offers an excellent salary ranging from ₹65,000 to ₹90,000 per month based on qualifications and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support planning and implementation of randomized control trials.
- Lead data management, analysis, and systematic reviews.
- Coordinate with international research teams at IAHS and TMH.

Walk-In Interview for Junior Research Officers (Social) at IIPS, Mumbai
The International Institute of Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai, is conducting a walk-in interview for the recruitment of Junior Research Officers (Social) for the National Family Health Survey-6 (NFHS-6) project. This is a fantastic opportunity for those with a background in Demography, Statistics, Mathematics, or Social Sciences.
Key Details:
- Position: Junior Research Officer (Social)
- Number of Posts: 2
- Qualification:
- Essential: Master’s degree in Demography, Mathematics, Statistics, or Social Sciences.
- Desirable: Experience in survey work and supervision of fieldwork for at least one year. Knowledge of the Odia language (reading, writing, and speaking) will be preferred.
- Responsibilities:
- Supervision and monitoring of NFHS-6 fieldwork.
- Regular reporting to IIPS.
- Travel across India as per survey requirements.
- Monthly Salary: Up to ₹46,000/- (depending on experience).
